A family group that has evolved over the past 18 years into a spirit-filled anointed ministry in song. Their roots are diverse. Dane Harris came from a Pentecostal, southern gospel background in the foothills of North Carolina. Born into a family of singers, singing gospel music was his one and only ambition in life. Margaret Harris, on the other hand, grew up in a strict conservativebackground and didn't know the words to "When We All Get To Heaven" or "I'll Fly Away" before she got saved and became a member of the Harris clan! Almighty God had a plan for Dane and Margaret. He took them out of nightclubs singing country music and made a way for them to use the talent that only He had given them to praise and uplift Him in song. One of the most important parts of His plan for them included blessing them with their daughter, Blaine. Their testimony about the healing power of God as he worked through their lives and the life of their only daughter is awesome. We serve an awesome God!! Blaine began to sing with the group when she was only seven. She has a God-given talent and has been able to use that talent more and more in their ministry throughout the years. She is now singing full-time with Dad and Mom, helping to uplift the hearts of born-again Christians and reach out to a lost and dying world. The group has sung with many of Southern Gospels finest groups including the Hopper's, The Crabb Family, Gold City, Danny Funderburk, and others. They have sung the National Anthem for the College Baseball World Series opening ceremony for the past three years. The group was also honored to be invited to sing for a crowd of approx-imately seven thousand at the Church of God State Camp Meeting in Birmingham, Alabama in June of 2003. In the 2003, Alleluia completed a new CD. "Grace Stepped In" was given to them by Mr. Gerald Crabb and made the Top Eighty in the Singing News charts in December of 2003. The single "Set Free" was released in the fall of 2004 and entered the Singing News Top 80 at Number 71!! In March of 2005, Set Free moved to Number 56. It entered the CMP chart at 52 and was 36 in July of 2005! This song was written by Ms. Rebecca Peck. Alleluia's third release, another song written by Rebecca Peck called Someday Soon, entered the Singing News chart at 75 in February of 2006.Alleluia has just released their latest album I'm Blessed which is sure to have success as well. In addition to singing, Dane is currently the General Manager of a SG Radio station in Montgomery, Alabama, Margaret teaches Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, and a choir class at the high school level and Blaine is in her senior year at Troy University in Troy, Alabama. God is opening doors for this group in ways that He never has before. You will be blessed by their vocal ability as well as their heartfelt love of Jesus and their desire to witnessabout His omnipotent power and His everlasting love. "Praising The Lord In Song" is the credo of this group. Let the Lord be praised for his mercy and His grace. |
