Dear Pastors, DJs, & Friends: My name is Randy Ward. I am known as "Gospel on Wheels - The Man In The Wheelchair Singing for Jesus." I would like to come to your church and uplift the name of Jesus in song and testimony. References are available from nearly every denomination. There is NO CHARGE - Jesus did not change me anything to die on the cross! That doesn't mean what I do is not good. Salvation is FREE and it is definitely good! Although I am in a wheelchair, I require no special assistance. My staff takes care of everything (including sound set-up). I am saved, anointed, and attend Bolton Baptist Church in Bolton, North Carolina. My pastor is Rev. Kenneth D. Benton. Please feel free to contact him at (910) 842-6744 if you need a reference. I don't get into denominational doctrines. I sing about the cross, the blood and the resurrection. I am currently taking bookings for fifth Sundays in 2009 (all 2008 fifth Sunday dates are taken). Please call or e-mail me if you would like to reserve a date for your church or special event. I only sing southern gospel or country gospel. I was named "Artist of the Month" for October 2005 in U.S. Gospel News. My song, "I've Been There" was #11 on the country gospel chart and #55 on the southern gospel music chart in CMP magazine. My most recent CD release is entitled, "Equipped & Qualified - Four Years Later." It included a new national radio release, "He Said Live," on VisionQuest Records. I am originally from the Old Dock, North Carolina community and was raised at the Boys Home in Lake Waccamaw, North Carolina. Like a lot of people, I grew up in a Christian home. I attended church almost every Sunday as a youth. I heard about Jesus, but did not take the time to really know Him. When I was seventeen, I joined the U.S. Army. I was to play football, run track, and possibly even compete in the Olympics. On December 25, 1970, while home on leave for the Christmas holidays, I was involved in a tragic automobile accident. Still only seventeen, I found myself in a hospital bed, paralyzed from the waist down, listening to "God-fearing" people tell me that God had done this terrible thing to me. I was ignorant of the Word. I was furious. I blamed and cursed God for over ten years. Then one night lying in my hospital room, Jesus spoke to my heart and said, "Randy, I didn't paralyze you. I did allow it to happen, but you're the one who did it." This was the beginning of my road to salvation. I straddled the fence for years. I played church and was out in the world. However, in 2001, the Holy Spirit convicted me and guided me onto the "Road of Life." It is an honor and a privilege to work with Jesus. It is a personal relationship and He will be your refuge also (see Psalm 91). I am an example of the miraculous things that He can do. He didn't give up on me and I am not going to give up on Him! I have had the honor of performing with such artists as The Florida Boys, Chuck Wagon Gang, The Hemphills, The McGruders, Quinton Mills, Alabama Spirituals, Easter Brothers, Easter Family, The Red White Family, Mended Vessel, The Nelons, The Lewis Family, The Browns, The Wilburns, The Oxendines, View Masters, Quinton Mills, Kevin Spencer, Nadine & Stevie, New Hope Singers, Tim Bass, Debbie Wilson, The Locklears, The Pierce Family, Carla & Redemption, Harris Creek Gospel, Straight Gate, Cummings Brothers & Benneta, J. R. Godbold and many others. I have sung and been interviewed on the World Hope Broadcast Network, The Grand Ole Gospel House, and the southern gospel music renowned Chicken House. I have released three CDs in the last four years and five songs nationwide. I would like to visit your church and share in song and testimony about Jesus and my long road back. From All-East Track in high school, football & track in the United States Army, and Olympic dreams, all shattered in a moment, to drug and alcohol addiction, death of a spouse, to blasphemer, whoremonger, liar, thief and nearly every work of the flesh to Jesus said LIVE! With your help, God can use me in your area to reach the lost for Christ. For bookings, please call (910) 655-0417 or e-mail me randy@gospelonwheels.com.
Respectfully Yours, |
